He wasn’t always a performer though. In school, Melvin dreamed of becoming a pediatrician due to his love for children and science. However, things changed when he headed to college. There, he found his love for the arts as well as his voice. From there, Melvin switched his major from Biology to Theatre, while also minoring in Psychology.
